THE KIDS' CORNER

I cannot believe that it is Friday already! I don't know about you but I have had a lot of fun looking at everything.  I am still chomping at the bit for Char's Rice Krispy treats.  My grandkids are definitely going to make some of those!  Yes, my daughter and her family will be here during the Christmas holidays and as we all love to eat and the kids love to bake,  I am sure Char's recipe will be a big hit.

Press here to get the recipe!

Today is day five at :

First go to Lisa's blog and be sure to register for all her goodies and see her so sweet makes.  Have you noticed that really sweet people make really sweet things?

Today the prizes are being offered by:

      Iralamija Shop
      Studio Shine
      Kitty Bee Designs

As I said, four of my grandchildren will be here during the holidays so maybe we can have a little fun together.  They love my craft room.

I made each child a paper stocking, each one reminding me of their separate personalities.  They will be filled with green stuff (if you know what I mean) and hanging on the tree.  If they guess what stocking is theirs they get to keep the green stuff.  If they guess incorrectly, oh well they will just have to guess again!

An open book!  Each kid will get one to decorate as he or she pleases.  I have only made one and have three more to go!

They are all ready to be assembled.  The instructions for this easy bound book can be found here.

I made me a little book too so I could work along with the kids.  Here is the front and of course the back.

Let's continue on with our Christmas journey as we visit:

   Char
   Lisa
   Ira

We hope you have had a wonderful week and enjoyed a little Christmas cheer. I have so enjoyed reading all of your comments.  And thank you again!
Sandy Claus

Love the idea of your paper stockings, and how pretty they are. The kids will love them, and what is inside too. You did mean 'spinach', didn't you? All kids love spinach!! Also love that you made yourself a little book so that when the grands are working on your gift to them, all of you can enjoy some great craft decorating time. Very clever idea. TFS & Big Hugs.

Your grandchildren are going to have so many super special made with love objects of art. Adorable stockings and books.

My sister always made Christmas wreaths every year. (Using corn flakes) Not very many of them so it was always a contest to see who could get at them the quickest.
