Or what about the icy glare of a two year old when she says, "No"!
The letter for the Alpha Challenge at The Craft Barn is "N" and my word is "No".
I really appreciate all of you that follow me and my whack-o sense of humor. I know I am slow in posting but I am Southern and there are lots of reasons for being slow in the South but we won't go into that now.
Thanks again for visiting and leaving me a little love!
Sandy

Southern or not you have captured the toddler tantrums perfectly with your images. How well I remember the 'No's (in fact I've said it several times myself)
I could understand the pages without a translation Sandy...Great and in a way funny too! Reminds me of my own children about 36 years ago (oh my already that long ago that they were little)
Oh, those tantrums! My daughter - now twenty and the loveliest of young women - could certainly throw a fine old tantrum at 2! I love the colour and vivacity in these pages, Sandy! So you are from the South! I love that accent! And I think Southern Belles have been known to have the odd temper tantrum too, haven't they? And slow you might be, but you produce lovely work in the end and that's what matters! Julie Ann xx
Love the colours and colouring. Your images certainly capture the word 'no'. great fun pages.
)))) I still have those at my home! We just say that our 5 year old is PMSing :)
Try dealing with her when she didn't have enough sleep time-OUCH!
Sandy, you got this one! You really nailed it!
My goodness Sandy how in the world do you get so many commenters?? :)Wow! I want to comment on the post before this one about Poe but figured it might get lost in the 88 comments you've already had. :)
I think Poe's poems are best read aloud don't you? Especially the Telltale Heart....love that one! Hugs! deb
Oh my WOW, Sandy! That is just too fabulous! I love it, and those images are just the sweetest EVER!!
Sounds like I should move to the South! lol :o)
Oh gosh, Sandy, this is priceless! Love the gal with attitude and the little guy throwing a temper tantrum accentuated with the glowing orange/red background! This is totally awesome!
NO???? OK.... OMG, Sandy I laughed so much. Kids with attitude! I love your sense of humor, love the images you chose! Love visiting you ! Hugs. and Chills from Montreal!!!!!! It is rather cold around here these days.
What beautiful pages, yes those two are really funny but they seems to have character!!
Greetings
Maria
What a fun page !
Hello Sandy, this is so CUTE and funny !!!
Lovely stamps and this imagination is very wonderful !!! " N " is NO ….. yes, I agree with it !!! hahahahaha….so CUTE !!!
Hi Sandy. Having a gorgeous three year old grandson I can identify this. When he has a melt down boy does he go!! Love the Mo images and how you did the page red showing the rage the little one was feeling - bless! Fabulous idea Sandy and you be as slow as you like because its always a pleasure coming here to see what you have done!! Take care, Susan x
Gorgeous page and yes, so right. My daughter used to just explode, I always wondered how such a small, sweet thing could turn into something so loud - your pages illustrate this wonderfully! Hugs, Valerie
So clever, love these two children, their faces and moods and especially your interpretation of NO.
hugs {brenda} x0x
Such great images to illustrate the word--love it

Wonderful spread and so very, very true!! Oh I remember those days only too well! Don't know whether these are stamps or images (Mo Manning?) whatever, they could not have expressed the power of No more aptly!! Brilliant!
Visiting from The Craft Barn - LOL, oh how wonderful! I remember it all so well :o))
Its quite true Sandy I think they call it 'the terrible two's'....love your pages...
Hope you are well

Every mother can relate to this page!! It should be published in a parenting handbook! lol Love the images so sweet and simply done and to the point. Better slow than not at all!!
Have a great day!
Kelly
I agree with Kelly! Every mother can relate and every father too! lol Love how the focus is on the image and the word. Always love the print background. Beautifully colored and designed Sandy. Well, I'm slow up here too! I have stuff started but… where's the finish line! lol
This is so cute, Sandy! Love the fun images you chose! Great design!
hahaha...I cannot think of a better way of illustrating "no"! This is perfect!
Oh how clever are you! Those images are perfect for the word 'NO' and could easily be photographs of a couple of my Grandkids! Love your interpretation of the word and the pages are just gorgeous - wonderful work my friend. Hugs, Anne x
What a fun page. No is almost the first one kids learn. The images are perfect!
Adorable and fun pages Sandy, Annette x

Hi Sandy, what wonderful pages, love your little boy and girl all in a strop. Remember the tantrums all too well, he's 42 and still huffs!! hugs Kate x
Sandy,
I love your NO! page. It is so fun and I have felt just like that little boy looks on more than one occasion.
There is probably no mom how hasn't had their kids doing these type of tantrums. Mine sure did, both of them. LOL! Great pages. Hugs Frea
LOVE this Sandy. MMx
How fabulous your pages are. I don't have any children but haven't well all witnessed such episodes in a supermarket, etc, when I child behaves in such a way!
The red background adds to the feeling of the tantrum.
Wishes
Lynne
Brilliant choice of word, it could be unique, and those toddlers are just perfect!

Perfect page for the N word! You nailed it perfectly on the head. Now about being slow & Southern..I have 2 speeds. The 2nd one is slow too! (might be the reason? Ya think!). Just read on a coupla blogs that Miz Anne is home. Great news. Enjoyed this post, hope ya'll staying wahm up in the Hills. Us in the Upstate had 70 today, but evenin's cool off pretty well. TFS & Hugs
Great take on the letter N - love the bright colours and that tantrum boy!
Absolutely brilliant page! What a cool idea and so true! xx
Oh Sandy...this one made my smile!
How I remember those days...even my eldest, who was generally a really easy child, had an occasional outburst.
I like your book and the size of it. Little Miss C is wanting to try this type of art...how do you know what weight they should be?
Saw a gorgeous one at the thrift store yesterday...but the pages seemd thin...
Those are the best images to use and so adorable. You are so right once a toddler has a tantrum no one will not know. Your dictionary is going to be a real treasure once it is finished.
Hugs, Pat
:D How cool - I really love love love these pages, especially the little boy :)
Ohh this is so funny! Love those images! Such pretty pages and beautifully colored! Hugs, Sandra
Only you can think to make a page like this. Wow Sandy, it is fabulous. As all your Alpha's I adore this one too. I can't wait for the next one sweet lady!!
XOXOSylvia
Oh crap! So what you're telling me is that it's not cute after you're 2???
Dagnabit! And here I thought I worked the adorable factor on the floor of aisle 4 the other day.
Only your quirky and wonderful brain could bring humor to these pages. LOVE them!!!
Oh Sandy...what a great choice of images for your N page! This is super funny!
I made it finally Sandy...but then 53 others have kept you company in my absence ;D
Fantastic imagines which made me chuckle...mainly because I remember those days so well and thankfully they're all behind me now. That is until little grandies come along I suppose.
Have a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy :D
xoxo
Great pages Sandy and brings back memories of a very stubborn daughter (she's all grown up now).
MaggieH
haha great pages, love the two cutie tantrum throwers ;-)
and I'm so in commenting (yep, it's a Southern thing, go GRITS!). But have to say this is fantastic (may just be my favorite "letter" yet). I love these images and love how you used them. Keep 'em comin' my fellow Carolina girl.
Absolutely fantastic!!!

Brilliant Sandy, fabulous images and great interpretation of 'No'.

So very CUTE! Just tonight I was in the craft store and a little boy was having a tantrum...lol! They act like it's the end of the world...hehehe! Darling image you colored with the little girl and boy! Great emphasis with the word "No", also! Hope all is well, hugs!
Absolutely brilliant, Sandy! The cold glare of the little girl and then the red mist that has descended on the little boy are both perfect for your word choice - hilarious!! And so brilliantly done, too - I love how intense the colour is around the kicker, fading out to the rest of the page...
Hope you have lots of fun playing with the Chalkboard Wisdom plate - they are great words, aren't they?!
Have a lovely Sunday.
Alison xx

Hi sandy,
Thanks for following me. We live in near Hilton Head SC and have just loved the move to the low country here in South Carolina. Loved your altered books, journals. I have never done one. You have inspired me to try! Love all you do. Now I follow you too.

Oh, yes! Even though Lauren is grown, I remember the terrible twos! Such a fun page - those two are cuties!
How did I miss this? What a fun page and oh my... I'm sure it is bringing a lot of memories back for many, many people. These two images were the first ones I ever tried to merge and I still love them - I remember looking for a perfect sentiment and never, ever thought of that two letter word. Fun and fabulous!
Ahh the terrible two's, or in your case, the terrible two-some! I love these stamps from Mo, I've used that screaming boy on two male milestone birthday cards before (as in "Whaaa, I don't wanna be fifty!!). The girl would be equally good as a female milestone birthday too! Very cool page!
Hugs
Brenda
Brilliant page Sandy love those images so much I admire your creativity so much.
