I Believe .. Do You?

Beneath my kitchen window at the woods edge, there is a village of magic mushrooms.

The Alpha Challenge at the Craft Barn is the letter 'A'.  I have chosen the word AGARIC which is the name of various fungi.  Many of the species are edible like the common mushroom, wile others are deleterious and even poisonous.  You can find the details of this super fun dictionary challenge here.

Fairies always pick the most beautiful mushrooms for their homes.  Not only that, but they are always poisonous mushrooms.  You don't eat your house, do you think fairies eat theirs!?!  Besides, living in apoisonous fungi is a means of protection.  How clever these fairies  are!!

Thanks for your visit and your sweet comments.  Doing this dictionary is sooooo much fun!

What exquisite pages, Sandy. I want to walk right in there for a visit. My mother used to take me to the forest to show me the Faery houses - where they danced under the moon, how they hung their wash on the silken spider webs and stored magic potions under special leaves. You definitely have caught the essence of it all. Your talent is showing, my dear. hugs, Donna Thank you for visiting my blog. Your comments are such a delight. xo

Oooooh Sandy when I saw you had magic mushrooms by your kitchen window I wondered what you were getting up to lol! Had you turned into a child of the 60's and passing your days in a hallucinogenic state???? But no I can see from these wonderful pages that you have been hard at work creating this masterpiece! I do love fairies and created a little fairy dell at the bottom of my garden, complete with fairies and glass toadstools - I have yet to see a real one but I am always hopeful!! Take care my friend and stay away from those magic mushrooms!! Susan xx

I love both of these pages. OMG Sandy! They are fabulous! Love the colors and of course I love the mushrooms, so cute and colorful. Do you have a hard time coloring on this dictionary paper? I am seeing a lot of these out there in the blogging world so a lot of people are loving what you are doing. The images and butterflies are so beautiful. Great job! How are the animals doing? Been a sad week at our house. My SIL lost his first Grandson, age 17 in a car wreck. He was by his first wife but we knew him and he was such a great kid. He is with God now. I am trying to catch up in the blogging comments. I really do love seeing your creations. Do you have any of the grandkids this summer and are you going on any trips?

You come up with the most delightful vocabulary in your word challenges. This page in your journal is most magical indeed. Loved all the bright (and soft too) colors, & chuckled at your story too. Are you using dye inks to color these images or pastel chalks? Betty's in Greensboro is having some Dyan Reavely(sp?) classes in August, Just FYI....TFS
