We're Expecting!!!!

At long last my husband and I are expecting two new babies that should arrive here mid to late March.  One boy named Flip and one girl named Flop (we will call her Floppy)!!  I am so excited I could just spit!!

Yesterday we went to South Carolina to visit Mr. Phil who raises mini Nubian goats.  This is the very first time I have ever held a mini goat that is all of three weeks old!

See that precious white baby boy?  That is Flip - isn't he cute!!!!

This is Farmer Phil holding two of the babies.  The one on the left that is black and grey is Flop our little girl.  She is so sweet and smaller than Flip!

I got to help bottle feed these little tykes.  Do I look happy or what!  Our new children are too young to come live with us but when we get them I will just have post again.  This is Simply Sandy reporting from her soon to be mini farm!!!

What do you think of my new babies!?!

OMG these are so beautiful! I didn't get this post on email for some reason so I'm just seeing it now. How fantastic to hold them when they're so small. I grew up in a small village in the North East of England, there was a farm at the end of the village and their youngest son, Colin, was in my class at school. I remember the odd time we would have a serious late season snow storm in April which would endanger the ewes currently in lamb and they had to be brought in from the fields. Half the village would turn out to find the ewes and newborn lambs half buried in the snow. Us young children got to stay in the warm barns setting up pens for the ewes who were birthing, and on occasion, hand feeding barely hours old lambs whose mother had either died, rejected them or were too exhausted after struggling with the snow. It's an amazing and incredible thing to be privileged to do, and I'm as excited for you as you are I think!

Hugs
Brenda
