What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday-#168

I am dedicating this post to Brenda Butler as not too very long ago, she dared me to post my work desk.  She knew all along that I am anal retentive and my work desk is rather boring.  After viewing other work areas, I knew my area looked a little sterile.  Well the good Lord stepped in and gave me ample opportunity to think about changing my way.  With a desk in front of my recliner holding a laptop - my faithful walker to my right and my cats to keep me company.  I asked myself - "Sandy what turns you on?"  And then I thought  about
Chris Dark.  Chris is one of the most talented artists I have ever know and she has been so gracious to give me some words of wisdom and lead me to some great art techniques.  I love her art journal pages and they excite me no end.  So, my journey into the art journal world will soon begin.  All these words is to say this first picture is the beginning.
These are some new goodies from Faber Castell that I plan to play with in my art journal. I won a couple of Faber Castell starter packages from a challenge on Simon Says Stamps.   I love Faber Castell colored pencils and think they make a really good product.
So here is where I color and snoop - you can't see the big ole' computer screen in this.  Some of this is a little staged as I wanted to show Brenda that I too have a couple of  House Mouse Stamps.  And yes, that is a real little baby orchid -- I am getting ready to make some orchid cards.

Now one last thing if you will please "BEAR" with me.  I will leave you with this - this is what you do when there is a bear within 10 feet of you glass door in your craft room  You open the door and look at the bear and you say
"Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?
I see a brown bear looking at me!
SHOOO"

I have really been missing you guys!!!!!!
Love to you all - Sandy

tee hee...had to laugh :O) Oh yours is still clean...I clean mine up every night before I go to bed, but if you look at it during the day, it looks like a tornado has hit, the room threw up...how ever you want to say it...I'm a messy stamper! But I can't stand a mess before I hit the hay...! Love looking at your bears as long as they are yours, and not in my backyard, tee hee!!!

There should be a celebration that you are back in your craft room. Looks fabulous to me! Plenty of goodies there! Who would of thought that a "shoo" would chase a bear away! Thank goodness he turned the other way. Well I can see that you haven't lost your humor. love it!

Can't wait to see the creations you have planned and your desk is way more organized than mine, way more! I also like seeing the rear end of that bear... I would be totally freaked out if a bear was on my deck!

Ah Sandy, I'm so glad to see I'm useful for something! Love your stash of Faber Castell goodies, I'm saving up for some Derwent pencils, either Inktense Water Colour Pencils or Coloursoft ones (like Prismacolors), I can't decide which to get! Would you believe you've got three House Mouse stamps that I don't have! I think you may be my next swapping partner! Hope the bear doesn't decide to come back!

Hugs

How awesome to see your post! I love that you have a makeshift desk and I can't wait to see what you're going to create in the near future. ORCHID!! phew....I can stop squinting inside the cubbies now.
As for the bear....that is sooo not what I would have said had it been me. ;)

Well, this was a fun stopover! Thanks for posting on WOYWW. It's so nice to meet a lovely friend of Brenda's.

Your art space is luscious and colorful! All the best with your new artistic chapter into art journaling.

My sister just moved to Waxhaw - I had no idea about the bears!!!

I'm really late getting around to snooping. Hope you have a wonderful week! Darnell #136

Ah my lovely Sandy, I'm so glad to see you're back posting and that you're recovering well!

Then I read down your post and see some beautiful words, you are the sweetest person, thank you and I always, always look forward to reading your comments or an email, you always make me grin from ear to ear and belly laugh too! I love your art and I'm absolutely thrilled to see you're venturing into art journal. Your new supplies are superb and I've been hankering after some of those big brush pens and gelato's for a while so enjoy them and let me know if you like them. Congrats on your win too, timing couldn't be more perfect could it? Love the faber castell supplies display box, did you get that from Simon Says as well because I NEED one of those :D.

Love your makeshift work station, very cute and your desk.......... I'm a crafter of the VERY messy variety, I can hardly bear to look at it at the moment and must clear it up so that I can clear my head!

I was amazed when I saw your visitor, how incredible to look out of your window and see a bear, I'd be mesmerized!

Really, really good to see you back and have a great weekend, hugs, Chris x

great looking crafting space. Baby Bears on the outside are fun to watch but a resident in Montana told us she had one come in an open door and couldn't make it leave it like the dog food too much!! Park rangers came and got it out but what a scare. Wonder where momma was? Sorry I am so late getting around but it is what it is with family, crafts, etc. time can sometimes become a premium! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #68

Ok that is it when I come to the states I am going to visit you, you have the funniest outlook on life and a twisted sense of humour, like me. Love the bear even when you scared him to death, he is now running for his life away from you. Gosh he is probably telling his family about you and they will all come back and get you.

Ok so the desk is less interesting today and the bear and your quirky way takes precedence. LOL

This is great Sandy! Does it look like that now? Every time I clean up my area when I start a new card it get all messed up again, just can't keep my area clean. You must get a lot of bears. They are cute but I guess they can cause some damage real fast.
