Lighting a candle with love

I have decided to post tonight although my heart and mind have been wrapped around the families and children in Connecticut.  It's hard to pretend things are normal when they are not normal at all.  I just put my Christmas decorations up yesterday.  I almost didn't.  But because I use a lot of soft lights inside our living room, I decided to put the decorations up and have the lights be symbols of love and hope for the children who are no longer with us, the children who have suffered so much trauma, the adults who left loving families and children behind and the grieving hearts of so many especially the parents.  My heart weeps.

I dedicate my Christmas blog to the Light of the World in whom we put so much trust - may our prayers be heard and solace be given to those who are in pain.  Peace and Grace my friends.

Sandy

So about those tags! I love the first one as it reminds me of a candle for everyone you mention. Also because the poinsettia is sparkly and the center is gorgeous like the snowflakes on the tag so I need to Pin this one!
The other two are just as gorgeous and festive for Christmas. I love the style with the snowflakes in the background and the rich poinsettia with beautiful centers. These are perfect.
Big Hugs and Love,
Kelly

Yes it made me feel more love an appreciation for my own family, to to hold them closer then ever.
And I lit candles for the lost souls... my hert weeps for their parents-I know how it is to loose a loved one. I pray for strenght and for peace for each and everyone who's life has been shattered by these events. Honestly, I do not feel like celebtating, but, I have to pull myself together for my own kids-they do not know about this.

Yes Sandy I second everything you so beautifully said. At a time like this, when everybody is looking to celebrate the season, such an insane carnage had to take place. We are indeed living in perilous times!
As for your tags, they are as lovely as your caring words. Praise God that we have Him to comfort us. Merry Christmas!

My heart also goes out to all of the families of the 26! I've prayed my heart out and feel that is all I can do and I have shed lots of tears. Today I got word from a dear friend Lena that her 23 yr. old grandson was killed while walking down a dark road. She is on her way to MN from Texas. My heart is breaking for her to. Such a sad Christmas for the CT families and Lena. She was in our image swap group Sandy. I did as you ask and didn't send a card so wishing you and Art a very wonderful and Merry Christmas with your families. I love your tags, so beautiful.

Sandy, your thoughts and blessings are beautiful. Tragedies leave us feeling so helpless and vulnerable - making us hold our loved ones closer. My heart is heavy for the losses, but also for all the others who have been touched by this senseless tragedy that will have devastating trauma for a long time to come, especially those dear little children in the school.

On a happier note. Your tags are gorgeous, my dear! Have a blessed Christmas. Am sending many hugs across the miles.

Sandy, It is so hard to go on with our daily lives as if nothing has happened when we know their are people out their hurting so hard and their broken hearts, we can offer prayers and try to be their when they need someone but we also need to go on so that they can go on as well, back to some kind of normal life as it will be a long time for them. So by our prayers and kindness they will know we will always be their for them, as life goes on. It is hard to see.
