Ghost Writer

I found a surprise in my stash and decided there is no time like the present to use it!

This grunge book will be perfect for my makes for A Vintage Journey.  Alison chose the theme for this challenge "words".  I guess that comes as no surprise!!

The title of this make is "Ghost Writer".  I am lucky to have so many things that I really like doing.  One of my most favorite past times is reading - I LOVE to read.

So I am entering my grunge page at A Vintage Journey -- I do hope to see you there.  I do believe they have one of the best design teams you can find anywhere!!!!

Thanks for visiting and leaving such sweet comments.  I love to visit you too!

Rudolph the Red Nose Goat?

This is what I saw out my kitchen window this morning - we had a good dusting of snow during the night but the rising sun soon took the snow away.
The sun really travels fast especially when you are trying your best to capture images!
Do you see my sweet goats?  In goat talk they are saying "here comes Mama with our treats!"

Here are my two cards for the Christmas card challenge at Stamping for Pleasure.  One a month my talented friend Sarn hosts this very merry challenge.  Want to get a start on your Christmas cards?  This would be a good place to start!!

Thanks for your visit.  I do hope you enjoyed my pictures.  I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful stamp picturing my babies Flip and Flop.  You know I do appreciate your comments!!

Flying Birds

If you want to have some fun, try playing along with the talented (and I do mean talented) ladies of
A Vintage Journey.  The theme of their very first challenge is Anything Tim.
Worries are like birds flying overhead - You can't stop them from flying but you don't have to let them build nests in your hair!

What's so Timmy about this tag you may ask.  The flying birds and the butterfly are Tim Holtz stamps.  All coloring was done with distress markers and or ink pads.  This tag fits into this month's tag challenge over at Tim Blog.  I did try most of the techniques - well some of the techniques.  I tried to do the smudging but after I stamped, the image would not smudge.  The bigger flying bird I stamped by using several colors on the stamp but I did not put enough ink on the stamp.  Now the exciting part, I used a Tim Holtz stencil and did exactly what he said to do with that handy dandy blower thingy.  It was really quite fun.  What I learned is, I need to use more ink so the stencil design will show. One more thing - I used a metal word band at the bottom and attached with the little Tim Holtz stapler.  The band says - encourage your hopes, not your fears.

I am entering my tag into the following challenges:

A Vintage Journey  - Anything Tim

Tim Holtz March Tag Challenge

Hey to everyone out there in Blogoshpere.  Keep the faith - Spring is on its way!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and for all the sweet comments you leave.
