The Announcement

I am happy to inform you that Victor the Vampire Owl has finally fallen in love.  He has openly admitted to being a sucker for blondes with big red eyes.  It is my pleasure to announce the engagement of Victor the Vampire Owl to Shelia the Socializing Skeleton.

An engagement party was held at the Transylvania Hospital's Blood mobile. Refreshing cocktails were enjoyed by all.   Shelia proudly wore her matching marquis cut diamond earrings.  A gift from Victor's Mother.

Carrying wild red roses, Victor looked resplendent in his Elvis knock off tuxedo.

A personal message was included in each and every announcement.

I will keep you posted as to the wedding details.  Please RSVP to Simply Sandy.
Thank you so much!

  3. Hi-lar-ious!! I'm pretty sure Sheila the Socialising Skeleton needs to keep an eye on Victor's drinking if they're going to be doing much socialising together - when the blood-drinker's eyes are bloodshot, it's time to go home... and don't let him drive!

Fabulous spooky crazy bird - making the announcement in true style!

  5. OMG...I'm so happy!!! I'm a complete sap for a good love story and now all I can think about is knitting. I need to get busy on baby booties and hats because you know it won't be long after the wedding that they bump uglies. So how many litters do you think a skeleton and Vampire owl have? And do they'll prefer to call their offspring Skowls or Owletons?
I'm all a flutter now with this glorious announcement and what ghoulishly gruesome and glorious announcement it is!! You have done this lovely couple justice.
Please mark me as having RSVP'd

    HUGE HUGS to YOU!

  6. Sandy, This is wonderful, I'm so happy for the couple. Love the story, the gate fold card was a super idea to share they love for each other. You outdone yourself on the Vampire Owl he is so handsome and with the flowers for his MIL to be, how thoughtful. The announcements are just too funny.
    Hugs, Pat♥

  10. Well, I must say: You are back with a real bang! This was just delightful to read through the announcement, and enjoy these creatures' celebration. I'm wow'd by how you've used the CB - he looks quite handsome in his tux, and Sheila's visage is quite scary, but redeemed by those ear sparklers. Also liked the kraft kat tucked in amongst all the splendors. Really clever and well done. That must be an amazing new craft room to create this delight. Enjoyed _ALL_ of it! TFS & Hugs.

  44. Hi Sandy - thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog! To answer your question, I just keep practicing and going even when I make a mistake. I figure, if a mistake has already been done, then I don't have to worry about not making any others. LOL. The projects usually turn out, and on the ones that don't, I usually end up learning something.

I love this project and your paper bag projects a couple back are fantastic! I haven't made one of those yet and yours was very inspiring. :D
