Rum Anyone?

First I want to thank all of you beautiful friends out there in Blogland that sent me love when I posted about the death of a very sweet friend.  It still hurts - I am sure it will take a long time to heal.  I cannot imagine what her family is going through.

Now it is time to lighten the spirit a little.  No pun intended.  What do you do with a bottle of rum?
 Why your drink it of course!  When the bottle is empty, you go out into your garden and collect some flowers and arrange them in your gorgeous imported rum bottle.  What do you do with the cork?  You sniff on it now and then to remind you of Jamaica and when the aroma dissipates, you use it for cards!

It is time for another challenge at A VINTAGE JOURNEY.  The theme for this challenge is Spring Flowers.

OH!!!!  Do you see my husband's head in the bottom left hand mirror?  I did not see it until I  posted but I decided to keep it because he deserves to be in my Vintage Journey Journal too!!!

    That's your hub's head? hahahhaha... are you sure? I even enlarged this baby to check it out and I hate to tell you Sandy but he's got a real sorry looking head. hahahhaha....
    I love this piece and it's very impressive looking at it but when you click and enlarge, it's like wowsa... your details are brilliant and I just love those little pops of orange and yellow flowers. Gorgeous work!

    Sandy this card is so vintage, love your flowers and of course the rum label is perfect. Great card! I know what it is to loose a friend, just know the hurt lightenes with time and memories flood in and will make you smile. Memories are what keeps us going. Hugs, Ruth Ann

    Oh Sandy, that is just too funny to include your hubby's head on a vintage journey....     I'm not much for the hard stuff, but I do like an occasional good Pina Colada with some of that good stuff. Loved all the cheery bright flowers popping out of this brown bottle (of course you need to drink it up to have the vase!). Loved all these hexagon mirrors too. I enlarged to check out the DH too. Of COURSE he should be in your vintage journey. You wouldn't want to be taking it alone, now! Hope you're feeling a bit better. TFS & Hugs too. Hope neither of us gets any of this 'weather'. It got right hot in the Foothills this evening. Going from winter to summer ...I was even thinkin' a/c for a while. G'nite.

    The metaphoric rum bottle is perfect for a vintage journey. Love your page it is stylish and the cascading flowers are gorgeous, especially fermenting in the rum scented bottle. I am so glad that Art decided to join you in your artwork, he did a great job with his photo! lol This is a beautiful piece!
