It's Now or Never!

I decided to try really hard and make all twelve tags for 2014.  You know I am talking about the..

Yes I am gonna give it my best shot for Tim Holtz 2014 challenge.  My first tag is - The Time is Now ....

I have so much Tim Holtz stuff that I thought surely I had enough to make his tags this year.  Right off the bat I quickly found out that I did not have what he was using.  So this is my take on his make.

Tim Holtz products used are:
the Vagabond - gosh I love that cutting machine
tattered flower garland die
distress inks - pumice stone, gathered twigs and black soot
distress paints - black soot
mini gears
ball chain

I am entering this into the 12 tags of 2014 January challenge.

Thanks for your visit and I hope to see you on the Tim Holtz challenge blog!
Sandy

  32. LOL, Sandy,

somehow I always find that - even though I have a lot of Tim Holtz stuff - I don't have exactly what he uses on his 12 tags of 2013/14.... (honestly of course I know why this is so *lol)... improvising and coming up with a different version is much more fun honestly :)

LOVE your take on the January tag! And thanks for the nice comment on my blog :)

  52. I'll tell you one thing, you really set a goal for yourself and I'm proud of you! I need to buy his books of wizardry and magic because I am completely lost to his techniques and I find that tags are so very different from cards and actually take me so much longer to complete; which is why I can count the tags I've done on one finger.
What you've created here is magical with your time piece sentiment. It's inspiring to see that you don't have to have it all (Timmy's toys) to create the illusion that you do.
P.s....I played with a certain vial of really fun stuff the other day and squealed like I was 4. It was nearly orgasmic! :D
    So...Thank you...AGAIN!!!
    hugs,
    me x

  57. Oh dear!...maybe I'm doing a little too much "less computer time"...because I missed this. This is a great tag, Sandy. I watch his tag posts but I thought they were just to inspire your own take on the ideas and techniques. So I think you did great! I love a lot of his products, and he's got an endless supply of great inspiration. It will be fun to watch your tag progress too. Have fun!
