Merry Christmas To All And To All...

Greetings from my wee farm.  First let me say thank you to all those who are followers and those who visit now and then.  I love your comments!  We all need love and encouragement and we never get too old for a big hug!

So many of you have expressed sorrow for our rooster's untimely demise.  I need to tell you that Jack was the rooster from hell.  The last time Jack attacked me he was quite vicious and it took Art three good kicks to get him off me.  The last kick hit solid and Jack went flying  through the air tail feathers just a flying.  That dag gone rooster will not be attacking me again!!!

This is my last make for the year.  I am quite fond of the card in that I did some experimenting with different kinds of embossing powders.  Then I tried to antique a metal snow flake and messed around with that for a while.  You should see my hands!

I love this hobby and the friends I have made.  Y'all always knock my socks off with your creativity.
I wish I could send this card to everyone one of you!

I am entering my Christmas card in the challenge over at Our Creative Corner.  See y'all there!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

Sandy

  3. Sandy, your card is beautiful. That is a great stamp. I love the way you did the snow background. I'm surprised you could type with all the stuff you probably have on your fingers.

I got a baby chick at a fair when I was a kid. It grew up to be mean and pecked me in the butt...my dad was not happy and that was the end of that chicken. I'm betting he was probably a rooster. I wonder now why they let me have him. I loved in the middle of a large city. ;). Merry Christmas.

  23. A gorgeous card, Sandy! I had a little chuckle about your rooster. We had two grey geese who used to come and knock at the back door with the beaks. They were vicious too! It was always a race whether I would manage to get out the back door and on my bike before they spotted me. They even took on the dog a couple of times!

  41. Sandy, I became a follower of your blog earlier today but after getting your message, just had to come back and see what the deal was with Jack the rooster!!! OMGoodness!!! Not fun at all to be attacked by one of the feathered friends! He really did sound like the rooster from hell! I think his "flying through the air" was probably a good thing!

  52. Oh, I do love the nostalgic, vintage look of this card! I think I actually have this stamp but never really knew what to do with it because it needs a certain 'look' and holy cow... you really 'nailed' it. It looks great and I love those little splats!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh yes... I also meant to talk about that 'dad-blamed' rooster, Jack! I did try to leave a comment a few days ago but something happened (??) and I didn't think it saved so now I'm back.
So.. did Jack meet his demise at the foot of Art? hahahhaha.... I thought he'd been eaten by a fox but nope, sounds like maybe the flight killed him. I don't like chickens, and roosters included... hated those things since I was a kid and had to gather eggs.
