When the Cats /away

My thirteen old granddaughter had my craft room all to herself for a little over a week.  At present, she has at least three art journals going and made several canvases.

This is a small sampling of what she was up to in Nanny's craft room.  I mean to tell you, this young lady had a ball!!!!!

Not only will you make this Grandmother very happy, but you will tickle Nicole pink by visiting my blog and leaving a little love.  Thanks a bunch!!
Sandy

  35. I can certainly see this young lady has tremendous talent. She must have been watching you very closely & learned a lot of your techniques. Gosh, all of these are so lovely, and you can be justly proud of her, keeping your supplies happy while you are being quiet. I can also see that she had tons of fun. Better keep her around so you 2 girls can have some fun crafting time once you're back up to par. TFS her work...it's fabulous! Hugs

  40. Awe Sandy this was a great idea to post Nicoles work. Now look at her, fabulous without much help from you. See she is a natural talent and all she needed was little direction from you and off she went. You are a great instructor by the way!!!

Nicole has a great sense of style and I love the topics she chose to do. My favorites are the top with the scary painting, love how she blended the black/grays and then kept the texture. Perfectly done with blots of red.

Then the 2nd one oh so cool with the angels on the cloud above the silhouettes walking. It is like God's angels looking after her and her friends. I also love the saying on the opposite page she used. The 3rd is so bold and artistic and I love to see her age mixed into a adults style here.

The next one is her entry into She Art, look at the fun angles and the bluetooth device in her ear. Next time she stays you need to have her watch Christy Tomlinson! Can you imagine what really fun faces and journal pages she will do after a class!!!!

The last one reminds me of you and her mom for some reason. When you tell me about Stacy I picture her ambition and travels as a young adult. I see it here in Nicoles art. I see that influence from both of you expressed on this page as if Nicole was there.
I hope she finds time to stick with this as she is fabulous and we could be inspired by her artistry someday.

Nicole is a fine young lady and growing talent in many things and now she can express it in her art. I am so glad you shared this with us!!!

Big Hugs to you and Nicole!
    Love Kelly
